Two illustrations realized for I2CT (CNRS UPR3572) on Melomanes European research project which aims to develop a new kind of treatment for metastatic melanoma. This first illustration, presented here, aimed at the general public, is designed to stimulate curiosity with its bright colours. The ribbon, inspired by the Melomanes logo, is used to guide the reader through the 4 different parts of this illustration: 1) the disease: terminal skin cancer, 2) the research team: collaborative and transdisciplinary, 3) the treatment: a combination of nanoparticles heated by light and immune cells, 4) the environmental issues: to assess and minimise the environmental impact of this project. The second illustration, aimed at researchers, is currently being produced.
